The other day I drove past my old house and was delighted to see the tall grasses and growing trees, lush with green leaves in the front yard—the garden I had planted 3 years ago was thriving. It affirmed my current moment in time; the fact that creating a legacy requires you plant the seeds. Many of us won’t see the full fruits of what we’re working towards in our lifetime. The activists & artists & leaders that came before us certainly didn’t. But what matters is that we plant the seeds, create the foundations, and nurture the soil for the next generation to keep growing.
