Would linear time exist if we didn’t have clocks, gregorian calendars, and schedules to adhere to? Would time—as we know it—exist if we were not here to perceive it? My own perception of time leads me to believe that it would not—that time is not a fixed entity; that it exists on a spectrum and is able to be manipulated.

I personally experience time as a spiral, revisiting the same situations, emotions, and lessons again & again, at different stages of my life, at “irregular” intervals. I can slow down or speed up time with my attention & presence. My sense of time changes, just as I perceive different tastes, smells, and sensations differently under various circumstances & seasons. And, quantum physics has a slew of experiments that prove “the observer effect”—that simply by observing a phenomena, its outcome will be changed.

When I slow down time by focusing my attention on a subject or practice that consumes me, I enter a flow state. This is where the magic of creation happens.
